Fairbanks Avionics,LLC performs on aircraft troubleshooting to identify, isolate and fix problems. We specialize in intercoms and audio panels. We are able design new systems and integrate them into the existing systems.

Who We Are

Fairbanks Avionics,LLC is a locally owned avionics shop dedicated to the installation of communication, navigation, and audio equipment on general aviation aircraft. We are the dealer for the Val Avionics,LLC manufacturer of American made communication, navigation equipment. These cost effective,state of the art radios are manufactured in Salem, Oregon.

Our History

Fairbanks Avionics,LLC started in the summer of 2013 at the request of Pro Flite flight school and other operators on the Fairbanks International Airport. Prior to this another business was providing the service we now provide and decided to pursue other interests. The owner of Fairbanks Avionics,LLC, Dave Critchfield, has been in the aviation industry since the summer of 1969. After finishing college at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Dave joined the Navy, where he spent seven years repairing radios. From there Dave worked for the Cessna dealership in El Cajon, California, moved on to Lockheed in Burbank, Ca where he worked on the P-3, F117 and YF-22. The next move for Dave was to Fairbanks, Alaska with an airline, a helicopter outfit and finally to own his own business.
